Pricing

Clear, fair, and transparent pricing.

My fees are straightforward and clearly communicated from the start – no hidden surprises, just clarity and peace of mind. I’ll also ensure you know what other fees (such as OPG or Court fees) apply to your matter.

Most work is fixed‑fee. Where a matter is complex or urgent, I’ll give you a tailored quote upfront and won’t proceed without your agreement. I do not currently charge VAT.

Wills

Pricing for Wills depends on the type of Will you require and your individual situation. I offer:

  • Simple wills: Ideal for single individuals wishing to set out straightforward instructions for their estate.
  • Mirror wills: Designed for couples, these wills reflect each other’s terms, ensuring both parties’ wishes are aligned and clearly set out.
  • Wills containing trusts: Such as a property trust, life interest trust or discretionary trust. These offer added protection, such as safeguarding your assets from care fees, providing for vulnerable children, or preserving your family’s inheritance.

Whatever your needs, I’ll clearly guide you through the process and provide transparent pricing from the outset.

Deputyship Order application

Please be aware, for Court of Protection Deputyship Orders:

  • The fees for applying for a Property and Financial Affairs Deputyship Order can be recovered from the estate if successful. This is not the case for a Health and Welfare Deputyship Order.
  • In addition to my fees, the Court of Protection charges £421 per type of order (you pay twice if applying for both types).
  • If the Court requires a hearing (this can happen where there is some dispute or matter to be discussed), the fee is £259. I do not represent clients at hearings.
  • You will need to request that a medical or healthcare professional complete form COP3 for you which assesses the person’s capacity. They may make a charge for this which is beyond my control. Often it is around £50, but it could be more.
  • The OPG charges a new‑deputy assessment fee of £100.
  • There is an annual supervision fee of £320 (general) or £35 (minimal, some finance deputies under £21k).
  • There is a security bond (surety) premium required for Property and Financial Affairs deputies. Premium depends on the security level set by the court and provider. Often this is roughly £50 – £500 p.a. depending on estate size/security.
  • Help with Court fees may be available.
